Good Morning, Megan here, I live in central Florida and have four horses which most of the training I cover myself. Just wanted to say that HRN is a fantastic station. I’m working right now and I have a set of headphones that I wear almost nonstop when I'm at my desk. I'll listen to radios shows, music, and playlist, whatever gets me through the day. Well this morning I decided I wanted to listen to something with horses, was kind of thinking live horse racing announcements as I know those exist. I typed in horse radios and the first thing to pop up was Horse radio network. I never knew there was such a thing and so many choices of radio shows too. I looked around the site and picked the western show to start on, episode 80 to be exact and I love it. Turns out I recently bought a series called the world of horses and one of the first episode was the rodeo horse (bucking horse). Episode 80 took what I learned on that show even further and covered all the live stock, I figured there was a lot of work but I didn’t know it took weeks from start to finish like that for a single rodeo. I’ve just went to the Florida Cattlemen’s Rodeo a couple months ago which is a Ranch team style rodeo and loved it. It’s different than your normal rodeo which I love to watch, bucking broncs are my favorite, but I have to say, if you haven’t seen wild cow milking you should, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen and I tell you, those girls are meaner than any bull I’ve ever seen. Well keep the shows coming cause you can bet I’m gonna be a regular from now on.

I can’t wait to listen to more of your shows, thanks for the great work from Megan, Jenny(standardbred), Diablo “D” (thoroughbred), Twister (Paint), and Jigsaw (mystery).

Howdy-

I want to thank you for having our son-in-law, RJ Eppers, President of the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association as your guest on episode 61. RJ is married to our youngest daughter, Emily, they have a daughter, Kalila, and Emily is due to have their second daughter in September.

I managed a retail western wear store in Northwestern Montana, and was sent by my DM to the store in Alaska where RJ came to work for me as a second job. Ultimately, RJ and Emily met, as she worked at one time as my Assistant Manager.

Unfortunately, the corporate big-wigs decided to merge with another company, and in a couple short years the company was bankrupt, and shut down all operations. Yep, we moved back to the states!

Both my wife and I were raised on ranches, grew up around rodeo and horses, we ranched after we were married for a bit, and are very glad to see the tradition is still in the family!

We are very proud of RJ and his growing family, have watched RJ ride bulls in Alaska and South Dakota. Now, Emily and RJ have gotten Kali into mutton busting! We really want to see her do that!

All three of our daughters are married to military guys, two in the Air Force, and one in the Army. All of the boys have been deployed at least once, overseas. We are, again, very proud of them, and of all of our brave men and women in uniform! May God truly bless America!!!

Thanks for what you do,

Doug and Bev Lynch

I finished listening to the show with Debi Metcalfe. It was great! Thank you Debi for everything you do to keep horses and humans together. I'd also like to thank Alan and Tammy for having Debi on their show. We need to get the word out there about Debi's website netposse.com Debi is also extremely helpful if people have questions regarding any of the products and services offered on her website. I've emailed Debi several questions and she's always very prompt with her replies. Her knowledge was learned the hard difficult way and I can't thank her and her organization enough for sharing that knowledge. I pray I never need to call her and have her put my horse on her list but knowing she's there if I need her is a great relief. Debi has also written a very resourceful book called "Horse Theft; Been there, done that" that I highly recommend. Debi has dedicated her life to helping others in an attempt to educate everyone and bring an awareness to a serious problem in the world.....horse theft. I know you're probably thinking, "Oh, that could never happen to me"....well, let's hope that's true, however, if you don't have the proper I.D. on your horse and cannot prove in a court of law that the horse is yours, you won't get him/her back. Please, let's thank Debi for all her hard work and learn from her knowledge before it's too late. Keep up the AWESOME work you do Debi (and all your volunteers too). Without you and your website, we and our horses, wouldn't stand a chance. May God continue to bless you with knowledge and wisdom.

The Vogt sterling and leather company is a small family owned business that has been building fine sterling and leather accessories for over 35 years. Today cattle rancher, Chet Vogt, and his son Casey own and operate Vogt Western Silver, and continue to inject the family's ranch-raised, outdoorsman background into the design and construction of these quality products.
