Western Radio Show Episode 64 by SUCCEED – Show Notes and Links:
- Hosts: Alan Moorhead and Tammy Sronce
- Guest: Rachel Primm of Washoe Valley, NV: Rachel suffered a broken back in 2008 but this setback could not sway the resolve of the now senior in High School. After the six month recovery and rehab Rachel climbed back in the saddle and set out to win and that she did. This multi-talented cowgirl is now only the second cowgirl in the history of the National High School Rodeo Association to win back to back National Barrel Racing titles, 2010 and 2011.
- Guest: McKenna Wagner of Broken Arrow, OK: McKenna loves the time she spends with her horses and it shows in the arena. At the 2011 National High School Finals Rodeo McKenna had qualified in 2 events, barrel racing and pole bending. Using the same horse for both events may seem a bit much on a week as hectic as the NHSFR can be. This proved to be no big deal for Mckenna and her paint mare “Sassy”. Finishing 4th in the poles and 10th in the barrels was enough to vault the pair past the competition and win the coveted All Around Cowgirl National title for 2011.
